Putting a (Cock) Ring On It

Say cock ring to some people, and they quiver with thoughts of submissives being bound and tortured by all kinds of kinky fuckery – with or without a cock ring. I will admit there was a time I thought the same thing. That was then.

Being in D/s is about growth and so many think that growth and pushing boundaries is only for a submissive. Not true. Dominants can and should grow as we move through our relationships and the BDSM lifestyle. Not just mentally and emotionally but also in the kinky fuckery we enjoy.

Trying a Cock Ring

Since Kayla and I have entered into a 24/7 D/s relationship, I have grown as much as she has. My mind and body has been opened to whole new worlds of possibilities. Cock rings have just been one of those worlds. With Kayla doing toy reviews she received one that she just couldn’t try out by herself, and she needed my help.

In actuality it didn’t take much convincing on her part. What it did, though, was make a believer out of me.

I didn’t just like it, I loved it!

In many ways I’ve always been a bit of a hedonist, and I have tried many different things throughout my life. Kayla gets so many toys in the mail, and I’ll admit it – I’ve tried some of them out on myself, even if they’re not “marketed” for cocks.

The cock ring in question this time was the Tyler by Svakom. It’s a silicone ring with a built in vibrator disk. While it gave me a nice tight fit and enhanced a very nice fucking, it also gave her her a little extra tingle from the vibrator. Being the kinky fucker I am, I flipped the cock ring around. It gave me a most pleasant jingle, too.

Finding the Right Cock Ring

Cock rings come in many shapes, sizes, and configurations. Some just go around the shaft, others go around the shaft and the balls. They can be made form silicone, metal, and even leather. Not all will work for you.

As much as I love leather, I tried a leather cock ring once and didn’t like it. I’m a hairy beast. No surprise, then that my hair got caught up in the clasp. I may give it another try since I keep myself clean shaven so it may be a whole new experience.

What I liked best about the whole cock ring experience is that it prolonged the kinky fuckery. Of course, Kayla and I didn’t mind that in the least.

A few words of caution: many rings especially silicone are sold in sets of different sizes. One size does not always fit all. You don’t want it to be to loose nor do you want it to be too tight. Yes, it has to be just right (think Goldilocks but for your cock). If it’s too loose you miss out on the experience. If it’s too tight you could very well hurt yourself which is not good.

Putting a Ring On It

You can put on a cock ring when you’re already aroused and erect, just remember lube is your friend. Don’t try to put it on thinking it will just slip on without any problem. It’ll likely cause you some discomfort and even possibly kill the moment. Now if you are still flaccid, getting it on without lube isn’t usually a problem but keep it handy, just in case.

Unforeseen problems can happen! Keep a pair of safety scissors handy just in case. You never know what could happen, and it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Cock rings can be a fun addition to any relationship, vanilla or kinky. For years I thought they weren’t for me, and then I found the right one. If you’re not interested, no worries. Move on and find what you do like. But if you thought you couldn’t or shouldn’t try a cock ring for any reason (like, say, because you thought only submissive men used them – like Kayla used to believe), it might be time to rethink your view on cock rings.
